Webinar Announcement

Use of the OSW Hydroacoustics Community Forum

This Office of Surface Water webinar will discuss the use of the new Hydroacoustics Community forum as an additional support outlet for hydroacoustics users. An overview of the forum functionality, along with tips on getting the most out of the forum, will be provided. The presentation will be approximately 45 minutes long with an additional 15 minutes of questions.

Two identical presentations will be given at the dates and times listed below. If multiple persons in an office are attending, please share a single connection. Only 35 connections are available for each session. Registration for the session is REQUIRED to enforce the 35 connection limit. Registration is on a first come first served basis. Only those registered will receive the teleconference information. One of the sessions will be recorded to allow viewing of the presentation on-demand at a time of your convenience. A link to the recording will be placed on the USGS Hydroacoustics web page (http://hydroacoustics.usgs.gov) when available.

Scheduled sessions:

About the Hydroacoustics Community Forum

The Hydroacoustics Community forum is maintained by the USGS, Office of Surface Water for sharing information regarding the application of acoustics to the measurement of streamflow, water velocity, and other hydraulic parameters. The forum is a USGS resource to educate, learn, and facilitate the exchange of information about applications involving a variety of hydroacoustic instruments including acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCPs), side-looking acoustic profilers, acoustic velocity meters (AVMs), and acoustic Doppler velocimeters (ADVs). The forums are also used by the USGS to disseminate important information regarding quality assurance practices, training, and other matters.

Forum registration information can be found at the USGS Hydroacoustics web page at http://hydroacoustics.usgs.gov/software/Forum_Reg1.html.
